Conditions of use
EVENTS, CLINICS and PRIVATE FACILITY HIRE
- Approved safety helmets must be worn by all riders at all times when mounted on a horse.
- BEFORE RIDING, Brookleigh Indemnity Forms must be completed and signed. These can be obtained from the gatehouse reception or from our webpage.
- It is the responsibility of event organisers to ensure all riders have signed the enclosed waiver before riding at Brookleigh.
- Use of the Cross-Country course is restricted to riders who have EFA membership, Pony Club membership or club affiliation.
- Organisers of events must check if it is necessary to have an ambulance on site for their particular event. If ambulance not required a senior first aid person must be in attendance. It is the responsibility of the organisers to provide suitable transport in case of emergency for both horse and rider.
- Organisers must inform Brookleigh of approximate number of people expected to attend events, shows and clinics to ascertain catering and toilet facilities are adequate.
- Ground fees are to be collected and paid per horse by the hirer. The cleaning deposit must also be paid by the hirer.
- Breakage of equipment or damage to property is the responsibility of hirer/organiser. A $100 refundable bond must be paid by organiser.
- All bookings require a deposit of 50% at time of booking along with a completed registration form plus a refundable $100 bond for breakages and/or excess manure.
- A cancellation fee of 50% will be charged if 30 days notice is not given (except in extreme circumstances)
- The toilets are situated in the stables and in the reception building.
- Float parking is provided in the vineyard for the indoor and below the bunkhouse unless directed otherwise at the time of booking - additional float parking available if necessary.
- HORSES ARE NOT TO BE TIED TO FLOATS.
- Day yards are located adjacent to the showjumping arena, and on south and east side of indoor arena.
- Please use day yards and/or float yards where possible DO NOT TIE HORSES TO FLOATS.
- All manure must be removed from arenas, yards, float areas or other areas used.
- NO HAY EXCEPT WHEN STAYING OVERNIGHT.
- When riding in unfenced areas walking only is permitted.
- Arena gates to be kept closed at all times.
- Arena Entrance - north east corner of building.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Stallions have to be boxed or led with correct head gear (bit) - stallions are not to be tied anywhere on the property.
- When horses are staying overnight someone has to stay in the bunkhouse to be responsible for them.

- Dogs on leads are permitted.
