Meet the Team

It stands to reason that a friendly restaurant is a direct reflection of the team that work there. At Stewart's we pride ourselves on our ability to mix work and fun. We enjoy the restaurant as a workplace, socially interacting with each other and our customers to deliver an experience our visitors will instantly recommend to others.

Estate owner, Nikki Brooks  and her step brother Neil Reveler decided from the start that Stewart's would be a relaxed dining experience for family and friends. Brookleigh is all about family and the restaurant clearly reflects that for both guests and team.

Nikki grew up in Jersey, Channel Islands and moved her family to the Swan Valley over 20 years ago. Since the inception of Brookleigh, Nikki has involved her family in this adventure as much as possible. Together with her sons and late mother Olga Reveler they created the estate that is today enjoyed by so many. Nikki and her sons are still involved on a daily basis in the operation of the estate.

When Nikki offered her step brother, Neil Reveler, a role in the future hospitality side of the estate he decided to move from his home in Vancouver, Canada and join Nikki in the new project.

In Vancouver, Neil had operated his own Interior Design business with a home furnishings store and cafe restaurant. Neil Reveler is the Managing Director of Stewart's and oversees the restaurant operations on a daily basis. Developing and heading up the events team he is particularly proud of the many happy weddings that Brookleigh has hosted since opening back in 2003.

"Having such a beautiful back-drop as the Brookleigh Estate we are able to create romantic memories for couple to cherish forever."

Head Chef Jamie Skinner was lured to a career in hospitality by the adrenalin rush that comes with working in a busy kitchen. He says the best thing about being a chef is working closely with a tight kitchen crew and always striving for the perfect service. Jamie's philosophy for his modern European cuisine is to remove, rather than to add, concentrating instead on the importance of ingredients of the highest quality with freshness and flavour intact. Jamie has a strong belief in using local produce, considering that in the last 15-20 years, Australia has been producing some of the most amazing ingredients sourced worldwide. He also believes that it's important to support the local community.  Even closer to home, Jamie is lucky to have a team of gardeners on the Brookleigh Estate growing herbs, vegetables and fruits to his specification.

Kelly Brooks is a key member of our team, taking on the demanding role of Events Co-coordinator, she liaises with clients and the rest of the team to ensure that the Functions,  Weddings and Corporate Events held at Brookleigh are successful, professional and memorable. An existing member of the Stewart's team we are pleased to have Kelly, with all her energy and enthusiasm, now head up our events department.
